So Much More scratched from $330,000 Breeders Crown Mare Pace; AE1 Treacherous Reign moves in
The Beatson family-owned and trained So Much More, a 5-year-old daughter of Big Jim-Ladysal, has been scratched from the $330,000 Breeders Crown Mare Pace
.
The first also eligible, Treacherous Reign, trained by Tony Alagna, will move in to the race in post position 10, in accordance with the Breeders Crown conditions.
“We are devastated,” said Ken Beatson, who owns So Much More with his dad, trainer Don Beatson and nephew and caretaker Cole England, all based in Ontario, Canada.
“We have planned this trip for a long time and just as we were getting everything ready to ship she spiked a temperature. She is sick.”
So Much More has been a Woodbine Mohawk Park staple in the open mare classes, amassing $579,510 and 39 wins lifetime.
Breeders Crown conditions state that when a horse is scratched prior to scratch time but after post positions have been drawn, and the scratched horse was on the front tier of the starting gate the also eligible horse will assume the position on the outside of the remaining starters in the front tier of the starting gate.
