Little movement in this week’s poll

Hightstown, NJ — There was little movement in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll as only two of the horses in last week’s Top 10 were in action. No. 1-ranked Manchego was one of the two and won a division of the Miss Versatility Series, which enabled her to increase her lead atop the standings from six to 33 points.
Machnhope slipped from sixth to eighth in the rankings following a seventh-place finish in the second round of the Kissin In The Sand Series.
Joining the Top 10 was When Dovescry, who won the other division of the Miss Versatility Series. When Dovescry gained 47 points from last week to nudge idle Hypnotic AM out of the No. 10 spot.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
